I would love to get together with you to discuss your trademark matter in more detail. It appears that you want to register your name as a trademark to protect it from being used by anyone else. My firm specializes in trademark registration and trademark searches, as well as trademark disputes and domain name issues.

I encourage you to visit my website to learn a little more about my practice. If you are in the early stages of rolling out your new name, I would recommend conducting a trademark search before your application in order to ensure that your use of the name would not infringe on anyone else's trademark rights. I can conduct a basic trademark registrability search for $XXX, we can discuss this further if you would like. If the search finds anything problematic, you would have the option of making a change to your name to avoid a conflict, before incurring the expense of producing marketing materials, etc. Of course a search is optional and your call. I only do intellectual property law and have filed and successfully obtained many registered trademarks. My work is done for a single flat fee, which covers all incidental expenses as well as unlimited related consultation. You will never be billed for answering questions related to your case or for incidentals like postage or long-distance phone calls. I spend as much time with you as you need and am always available and responsive to your communications. I keep you regularly updated on the progress of your case so that you are not wondering about its status. And, I do all that at a very competitive price point. Please contact me with any questions.

I am a sole practitioner that specializes in intellectual property law, specifically trademarks, patents and copyrights. I have been working in the intellectual property field for over 15 years. I have been a practicing attorney for 7 years. My client base is mainly entrepreneurs and small businesses. Being a sole practitioner, I am able to provide personalized service to my clients and pride myself on being accessible and flexible. I can adjust my schedule and pricing to meet my clients' timetable and budget requirements. I am currently listed as attorney of record on 114 trademark applications/registrations with the USPTO. I have worked on many more in my experience with working for law firms in New York, Connecticut, Massachusetts, and New Hampshire. I believe that I can meet your company's requirements in that I can file your trademark application in one business day provided that the necessary information is available. Preparation of the application will include a preliminary trademark search to ensure that your desired trademark is available. I look forward to the opportunity to work with you.

Description:
Our firm handles trademark prosecution and litigation (as well as patent prosecution and litigation). Our IP group was started a year and a half ago and is comprised of attorneys from a mega-firm who wanted to be able to continue to offer expertise at lower and more flexible billing rates. The actual filing of the trademark application would be the attorney's time (usually about 1-3 hours) and the PTO filing fees. In order to control costs for clients, we typically use a junior associate for the preparation and filing under the supervision of a more senior attorney. For example, the associate that I have in mind for your work has a billing rate of $XXX/hour. My hourly rate is $XXX. The cost of filing the application itself is out of our control (the United States Patent and Trademark Office charges $XXX/class or $XXX/class (depending of the type of categories)), but, we work with you to determine the number of classes and description that best fit your needs and offer the most protection for the mark. In fact, we would perform a search of the mark prior to counseling you on the classes and description of your products and services.

And, just so that you are aware, there is a chance that the trademark will not be allowed as filed and we will have some back and forth with the PTO. This work is typically done at the lower hourly rate under supervision from a more senior attorney. Our Washington DC office is located about 20 minutes from the PTO should the need arise to interview with the examiner on the application.

I am a business and trademark lawyer with 20 years of experience, trained at top national law firms (as are all of my partners at [Redacted]). Because we don't pay to train junior associates or for other useless overhead that has no value to clients, we provide the same value at a much more reasonable rate. Our clients appreciate this value proposition. We have substantial experience representing startup companies, including internet-based businesses, and like to balance technical advice re: trademark protection with practical business considerations -- the mark is useless to you if it doesn't promote your business effectively. I will not hesitate to get my IP partner in Virginia involved if a local presence is necessary. He too is a top-notch attorney with big firm training. We do trademark work on a fixed fee basis -- the fixed fee below is our legal fee for one trademark, one class; additional classes are discounted. The quote does not include filing fees charged by the USPTO or the cost of preliminary research (we can discuss options and process, and can be reasonably flexible).

I am not only an attorney but also a strategic business consultant. An understanding of the market niche, the perception of the mark in the market, and potential consumer confusion is critical to the successful application. Search/report resource or company fees(Such as Thomson) and USPTO fees would be extra. I go to my clients' offices to better understand the background and facts.

Description:
I like to work with creative and entrepreneurial people in businesses of all sizes who are excited about protecting their ideas and turning them into assets. I especially like to help new clients navigate through the various intellectual property systems to reach their goal of obtaining strong protection for their assets. It's a pleasure to help these people protect their intellectual property because it may be the only type of asset they can use to grow their businesses. The [Redacted] helps individuals, businesses, academic and research institutions, and government agencies create and protect their intellectual property, both in the United States and in other countries. We also work with international law firms to help their clients obtain intellectual property rights in the United States. We give clients of all sizes the highest caliber work product, crafted in an imaginative yet relevant way, and delivered in a responsive and accountable fashion. We strive to build and maintain long term relationships with our clients. This policy is, we believe, beneficial to our clients as it ensures our clients have advice and assistance from a trusted advisor who knows and understands their business and goals. I founded my firm to create a results-driven, non-billable-hour fee option law firm to change the way intellectual property legal services are provided to clients. Most law firms provide legal services the same way they did for most of the last century. Those firms focus on profits, not clients. Their practice model relies on large numbers of people billing large numbers of hours, often without regard for the value of the work to the customer. The billable hour system used by most law firms fails to incentivize creativity and efficiency - values that today's legal service consumers are craving. It also creates an inherent conflict with clients, as lawyers are economically inclined to bill more hours, not less. The estimate quoted below covers a trademark search and analysis and trademark registration application preparation and filing. Included in the price is the government fee for one class of goods or services (a potential savings of $XXX).
